Prof. Dr. Önder Üretmen graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1993.

He worked at Ege University, became a professor in 1998, and led various ophthalmology units. He trained in oculoplastic surgery in the UK and Lebanon and was the Medical Director of the Eye Bank (2002-2014)

Retina hastalıkları, sarı leke hastalığı, diyabetik retinopati ve genel göz muayenesi alanlarında uzman olup, İzmir Kaşkaloğlu Göz Hastanesi’nde çalışmaktadır. 129 bilimsel yayını ve 161 kongre sunusu bulunmaktadır.
